Clémence, a lawyer, decides to embrace her true self and leave her marriage after realising she’s attracted to women, beginning a new relationship with Sarah. When she reveals this truth to her ex-husband Laurent at the end of summer, he retaliates by attempting to strip her of custody of their son Paul, manipulating the boy and using her sexuality against her in court.
What follows is a years-long legal and emotional battle as Clémence fights to maintain her maternal bond with Paul while defending her fundamental right to be both a mother and a woman free to make her own choices, even as her relationship with her son deteriorates under Laurent’s influence.
