Martin, an African-American artist lives in up-state New York with Jeannette a successful French Writer. They live a simplistic yet idyllic life, to their neighbours they appear as the perfect romantic couple. But appearances can be deceptive.Jeannette's daughter Sierra arrives unannounced with Andrew, her new husband. Her grandmother's fortune is hers once she is married. The newly weds plan to stay just long enough to run away with the money. But, Jeannette throws a spanner in the works when she announces an impromptu wedding reception.
