(2 User Ratings)"Utterly absorbing... profoundly moving film" - Sight & Sound
13th September 2002, three skinheads lie in wait in a park in Reims, France. They come across a gay man, and beat him unconscious before throwing his body into a nearby pond where he drowns. Beyond Hatred goes behind the scenes of the trial, interviewing the family of the victim, the attorneys for both parties and the family of one of the defendants. This is not a film about homophobia, it is a film about tolerance, intolerance and the pain of forgiveness.
