In order to pay forged documents, she takes an illegal job and meets the vibrant Anne (Anneke Kim Sarnau - The Constant Gardner), who becomes intrigued by this stranger, soon suspects Siamak's secret and uncovers her true identity.
This is a beautiful told story of integration, love and identity, with extremely powerful performances from the two leads.
"Tabatabai draws a convincing portrait of a woman desperately suppressing her natural desires out of concern for her own safety, a double lie that eats away her insides, and there's a genuine erotic charge to her and Sarnau's scenes together." - Variety |
